I bought four of these to go around my house in the country. Dont waste your money if you want both a beautiful AND functional exterior light. They look gorgeous in the day time but provide about as much light as a flashlight... one of the 2 flashlight at that!

My 3 sons hit tennis balls against our garage door so I needed a lantern that wouldn't shatter if they "missed". This light was perfect. No glass to break and it looks gorgeous. I was afraid without glass it wouldn't be as elegant, but they look great(against our tan house with gray rock accents). I love that they have the light sensors and are energy efficient also. Altogether a great item.

Sensor sensitive to shade

Again, sensor is too sensitive to shaded area (one of the lights is on our front porch, which is shaded; we have to turn the light off each morning, which defeats the purpose of having the photocell). They look great though.
