I am homebound in a wheelchair & purchased this for and herb garden on my deck... it is perfect, my husband built it EASILY & i have room for all the most popular herbs and roma tomatos too! It is the perfect height and allows me to continue one of my favorite hobbies even tho handicapped ~ I am getting another one just for flowers VERY SOON :o). Cons... ummmm NOT!

I've bought several of these and the smaller versions because I needed the pieces to match. Some of the wood pieces came broken/cracked. The wood pieces were not all cut to the appropriate size. The inside liner in almost all of the packages was sized incorrectly requiring me to cut them. The premade pieces were stapled together (some of the pieces were already loose) requiring me to add more screws to keep the pieces together.
BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This planter is so good looking it's almost a shame to put it out in the back yard. But hey, it's a planter, not furniture after all. I chose to treat the wood with sealer so it should keep the beautiful cedar color as long as I repeat the treatment every spring. The design is excellent and went together nicely. All components were there in the box. The main reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the felt-backed plastic floor insert was mis-cut, being too wide in places so that it wouldn't lay flat. I had to re-cut it on a table saw to make it fit perfectly. If I didn't have a table saw that would have been a tedious job. Also, I would like to have seen more instruction on how to install a liner, since I chose that option. Maybe a liner is unnecessary, but I just couldn't bring myself to put dirt in the box without one. More guidelines on that subject would have been appreciated.

We purchased this for my Mother (96) for mothers day. We placed it outside under her bedroom window. She filled oit witha a variety of plants and flowers that she can see from her bedroom. She enjoys it very much.

Looked great online but when it arrived a lot of work to assemble and not the best quality. I do not expect it to last more than a few years. I would have returned it if I had not been halfway into assembling it when I realized it did not fit together very well.
