the rug has a more synthetic look than I was expecting, and at first a strong rubber smell. But it is very nice and is best suited to modern furniture.

Delivery was a day early but the people who delivered it left it on my doorstep! This is an expensive, nearly 1k rug. Fortunately I was home and noticed it within a half hour but had I been out, it could have been stolen.

Just got the rug today, so I can't comment on its durability, but I can say that it's absolutely gorgeous (and so perfect for my living room). The backing is gray and the silky strands are beige/taupe, cream and black. I can't say enough wonderful things about the rug... so thrilled!
BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
