The same fabric quality that make the old green and metal Coolaroo beds so comfy, but larger and with more stability. Our German Shepherd is loving it and there were no problems with assembly. We may have to buy another one, his "sister" is jealous.

I bought a Coolaroo bed for my lab female who chews everything. After 3 days, she has chewed the corners and on the fabric over one of the rails. I can't recommend the bed for people with dogs that chew, but I can offer my dog as a product tester.
BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The black metal frame Coolaroo dog bed is not that good, it bends and comes apart when dog lays on it. The new type of Coolaroo Aluminum-Frame dog bed it is put together better, that is in the frame. It won't come apart or bend. It is stronger and better then the black frame. I bought two Aluminum Coolaroos for my dog one to go inside the shed and another for outside on concrete covered pad.

The Igloo Dog Bed is the product we ordered. No more doggy bed smell- Easy to keep clean and even vacuum under! The covering on the bed is suppose to be a non-run- tough covering. First week- one of the 3 beds has a hole in the middle and is begining to run. A few days ago a friend told me the company that makes the bed- guarantees the covering. Very happy to find out they will guarantee it! If this is true- it will make this dog bed perfect! Thanks for asking. I will be calling your company today to see how I can contact Igloo. Aside from that one issure- I am very satisfied the product has performed well.

I love everthing about this product (size shape, height etc) but... you shouldn't have to take it apart to clean the cover. I know you can take it outside and hose it off etc. but in the winter it would be nice to zip it off and throw it in the machine. Just food for thought.

Worst Product Design I've seen in a long time. My father was a product designer with over 100 patents in all different fields. He would give this designer the death penalty. Next to impossible to assemble. No excuse for this. Lots of other ways to do this. Fabric is pretty rough and dogs with sensitive skin or very short hair may not like it. We are in Texas and she dog sits so we are planning on getting several elevated cots but will not be getting another of this design. The quality of the components seems good. Maybe too good. The size we got is recommended for only 20lbs probably based on the size of the fabric. But the aluminum tubes are strong enough for a 150lb dog. I also think the smaller the cot you buy the harder it is to get the 4th corner in as you have less fabric to stretch. If you want to try this, I would only go with the biggest one (we have the smallest). The strength of the tubes and the fabric could be a plus on the largest one.

My dog loves this bed for laying outdoors on the deck when we are outside. He usually loves soft, plush beds so I wasn't sure if he would like it...but it works perfect for outside because it stays cool and allows air to circulate through the fabric to keep him cool. It is light, yet sturdy. My dog is a miniature schnauzer so I thought I would need a small, but the medium size is the perfect size for him.
