Works like a champion, but you have to get your layout right. I fastened tow sides to the eve on my house. The other side to a tree. Once you get it in the air, you can see the adjustments needed. Takes about an hour.

Product Review for Coolaroo 9'10" Triangle Party Sail in Red
I would have gone for gentler colors, but a red, yellow green combo on my long narrow balcony actually works very well. The yellow looks a light green against a blue sky and is the mildest of the three. I put two broom handle masts on the open side with an eye bolt in the top and spring clips to lock them to the sails. Bought some natural string for the building side, so the very white tie-downs don't look so conspicuous, and so they wont' rot in the strong sun. They go through eye bolts in the beams, then to tie-down cleats. That way, I was able to hold two sail ends at a time to adjust their trim before cinching them tight. All I need now are some nautical pulleys and I'm ready to sail! Several reviewers say the 3 meter is too small, but I had a narrow space and used three, point out, point in, point out to give significant shade with sunny gaps in between. I'll un-clip one to take camping when I think a wind-break or sun shade will be useful. The whole job cost less than $100 and about a day to set up (mostly hardware shopping). A friend who has had this brand for many years says they last well, so no hesitation about recommending it. Note that there are eye holes in the corners, and not the higher quality triangular metal loops shown in one of the set-up pictures. Also, each sail has a thick seam where the fabric was joined near one of the points. The brand and care labels add a bit of clutter too.
