David Stine selects every tree, mills every board and crafts each piece of furniture by hand. No two are alike. David uses only native hardwoods that he harvests and mills himself from his family’s forests in Dow, Illinois. David personally stewards the land to ensure responsible sustainability. When a client places an order, the boards are chosen and the design and craft process begins. All pieces are hand crafted using traditional methods of joinery and construction. Only environmentally safe finishes are used. Clients include architect Hugh Newel Jacobsen, actor and director Chris Eigeman, writer Andrew Sullivan, Crate & Barrel owners Gordon and Carole Segal, actor and activist Michael J. Fox, newsman Forrest Sawyer, the Barefoot Contessa Ina Garten, and Mary and Robert F.
