I got one of these and left it outside in our very mild climate, After about 2 weeks it started getting moldy. I complained to [...] FatBoy and was told that they were not designed to be left outside. Hmmm, you wouldn't know that from the advertisements! Had to end up throwing it away it looked so bad. It does come with a carrying bag so be ready to set it up and tear it down each time you use it, Or maybe it's just a one time use item!
BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is a great hammock all around. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it does hold water. It drains better out of the side seams which is not an easy task. Eventually it dries out. We have it near the pool so it isn't that much of an issue. Otherwise it's comfortable and comes in great colors! Nice hammock!
