The secret to enjoying this greenhouse for many years is to use it seasonally and store it promptly when you're done. It's not meant to be exposed to year-round weather. I have 3 of the Farmhouses now, and I use them in the spring. They have 12 screened windows and 2 large, screened doors for unbeatable ventilation. The construction is high quality, and assembly and disassembly are not difficult once you get the hang of it. I'm a 63-year-old woman, and I do it by myself.

This greenhouse suits my needs perfectly! I really love it! By myself, it took about 30 minutes to set up. I believe it helped that I had experience putting up tents. I love the fact that I can take it down and store it when winter is over. The only negative thing I can say, is that it was missing the velcro straps on two of the windows. Nothing I cant remedy though.

I am a mature woman >60, this green house with one helper goes up in about 30 minutes. The only problem I've had was that the instructions would put it up inside out! And there is no way I have found to get folded back into the bag. I am getting a second one. This even stands up to the 'Palmer wind'' just by placing cinder blocks on the skirt.

My parents bought this greenhouse a few years ago and handed it over to me this year. Even though we no longer have the instructions it was simple to put together with 2 people. However, before we could use the greenhouse, a snowstorm collapsed the house and snapped most of the poles. Upon researching the internet I did find that we can buy replacement poles, and have done so. None of the poles were able to tear the sides of the house so I was quite happy with paying for new poles.

Perfect size to overwinter Meyer lemon tree & other small tropicals such as bougainvilleas. Thank goodness for the pictures that demonstrate the steps of erection of the greenhouse, as the text was obviously composed by a non-English speaker with a dictionary, but little experience. Definitely takes 2 able-bodied people to erect the structure, but the entire process only takes an hour or so. The placement of window openings for venting heat on sunny days seems especially well planned.

Allow about 1 hour to setup the first time. Even though the pictures imply a single person can set it up. I recommend 2 people perform the first setup steps where the sidewall is assembled. I am using it to protect tender plants and tropicals during the winter months. A 1300 watt heater keeps it nice and warm.

I just bought my second Farmhouse greenhouse, because I am so pleased with the first one. I use the Farmhouse to harden-off and grow-out seedlings after starting them on indoor light shelves. It works very well--lets in plenty of light and gives great ventilation through the large doors and many windows. I love that all openings are screened. I protect against light-frosty nights with a propane tent heater. All my plants thrived in the greenhouse. To make it last as long as possible, I take it down in mid-May and store it in the barn until I need it the next spring. I found I needed to enlist a helper for initial set-up, but I took it down and stored it by myself. [...] Thanks for a great product.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product, especially after reading some of the negative reviews here. For the reviewer who wrote that he could push his finger through the screening material, don't believe it. Not true at all. This is a well-built portable greenhouse that I can set up in March, and with the help of some small ceramic space heaters, it makes a great place to grow my 100+ tomato seedlings so they are good sized plants by May. I was able to put it up alone in about 20 minutes. I would not consider this a permanent greenhouse as our snowfall in Denver would likely cause a collapse. A big improvement over the Gronhaus Domhaus, my previous portable greenhouse.

I really liked it at first and our neighbor commented on it as well. we live in a upper middle income neighborhood and it actually enhanced, not took away from, our property; -but we had an unexpected for this area, 2 inch snow fall and the next morning to our dismay my husband found the roof had succumbed in the middle and unless there are replacable parts,(which we have not heard about) it is ruined. We have only had it since November "09", 3 mos.

The screens rotted and became extremely fragile (e.g. you touch them and your finger will go right through). Material (nylon strap?) that was used to attach the D-rings to greenhouse also rotted and the most of the D-rings have come off so there is no way to tie down the greenhouse or secure the door/window flaps. I have owned tents (for years) that have the same features and never have had these kind of failures. [...]
