I bought 2 of these lights, which were the lowest priced of any similar lights that I reviewed on line. They were very easy to put together & install, & they fully charged up during the first sunny day. If you want a very subtle light, this will work well. Do not buy these lights for security, as they only light up about a 6' x 3' area, at best. If it has rained all day, they barely light at all. Had I known in advance how faint their light is, I would have spent more & purchased something better.
BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend
