I bought this because of the size, i really didnt kneed the plastic plates, cups and cutlery. It does have plenty of space but i hate the zippers. The top compartment scrunches down over the zippers to the main compartment unless you have the cooler packed to the gills, but then it would be to heavy to carry. I think if the main compartment had a rigid lip it would stand up better. Lots of pockets, storage ect. The strap should have more padding the hard plastic slide gives no comfort to your shoulder

I am totally happy with this cooler, I searched for a long time to find one this size and with a lot of pockets. I use it for a lunch box cooler and tote. Seems to be of good quality but I did put a hard piece of plastic in the bottom to overcome the tendency that it had to collapse a little when I had a lot of weight in it. I have about 15 years till I can retire, therefore I plan to order a couple more in case they stop making this style.

I spent an inordinate amount of time searching for a lunch cooler that can easily hold any size frozen lunch/dinner. Here's what the description say: Overall Dimensions: 12.5" H x 13.5" W x 8" D (this appears to be the dimensions for the main comparment) Here are the true overall dimensions: 13.5" H x 16.75" W x 9.25" D. I wish they'd have given both dims. I was this close to not ordering this cooler based on the dims they gave. This thing is huge when you look at it for one person's lunch. Aside from this, it's a very nice cooler with plenty of pockets. It's the schoolbag of coolers with all it's nooks and crannies.

I actually placed a cutting board in the bottom to create a flat surface there. I would imagine that if you tried to load this cooler without some type of added internal framework, that it'd sag all over the place and create a mess. However, with that flat bottom, it works great.
