I had one of these before and it was great but this one is plastic, wobbly and when I put my plants on it, the plastic cracked and the entire unit smashed to the ground, plants and all. What a mess. Maybe it's good for seed starter trays but don't put anything else on it. I'm in the process of demanding a refund and I'll be glad to return the pieces to them at their cost or I'm file a claim against them.
BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I start most of my seeds early in the spring. But, with little indoor window space to place the seedlings, created a problem! This actualy was placed out in my yard on the sunny side of my house. Pros: plastic allows the moisture to build up overnite, then when the sun hits the plastic causing a great deal of humidity to warm every plant inside. Zipper design is nice, as to fold it back over rack, during the day, then close up at nite. Cons: Lots!!! Assembly, is not the greatest. Unit when assembled tends to come apart when moved. So, i improvised by using short drill point screws to keep pipes from comming loose. That worked great, but still a lot of work. now its movable. Racks cannot hold small cups of seedlings, they tip over. Use cookie trays in place, which will work better. When placing outside, make sure you anchor it down, or the next good wind will blow it over. I bolted 2x4S on the bottom of unit then drilled large holes on four corners to allow me to run tent stakes thru into ground to hold it secure, and leveled it up. Again, worked great and several strong storms have come and gone, never moved it!!! I would have given it a 5 star, but was really disappointed with the quality work of this growing rack, all considering the price i paid for it, was overrated. Sorry 2 Star!!!!

This product was very easy to assemble. No tools are required, comes in a green color, light weight, made of metal and plastic parts, and removable shelves. But it is a little on the flimsy side. It would be better if it was more structurally stable. Also do not like that wire shelves just lay on top of bars with no form of being latched/screwed down. I improvised and used some tie strings on all four corners of each shelf.
