In the beginning, all the founder of Lifetime Products wanted was a sturdier basketball pole for his backyard. With this in mind, he found and purchased a piece of heavy-duty used pipe, a sheet of plywood, and a basketball rim. The result was a basketball standard for his backyard. That was 1972.
Seeing the potential that others might also desire a quality basketball system in their yards, he placed an ad in the "Big Nickel," the local free classified newspaper, and made his first sale. The rest — as they say — is history.
Not too many years after selling his first basketball system, he created the American PlayWorld company in 1973, which he based in his garage located in Riverdale, Utah. Gradually this store kept expanding into many more types of playground equipment, and was eventually moved to a bigger location in South Ogden, Utah.
Several years later, the company transformed the Basketball industry with the introduction of the Quick Adjust basketball pole — the first complete basketball system you could raise up and down with a broomstick.
In March 1986, a separate company was created to concentrate specifically on manufacturing adjustable basketball systems. This new company was named Lifetime Products, the name inspired by the goal of building a durable, lasting product.
Today, Lifetime Products, Inc., has applied innovation and cutting-edge technology in plastics and metals to create a family of affordable lifestyle products that feature superior strength and durability. This shed is huge, but I was really impressed with how easily it went together. All the instructions are picture based and very clear. Part bags are labeled well and so are the peices. I would consider myself and advanced do it yourselfer, but if you are working off a level and flat surface to start with, about anyone can follow the instructions. If I were to have one complaint about this shed it would be strengh and durability of the floor. I was using a step ladder in the shed during assembly and the legs were sinking into the floor. Once the ladder was removed, the floor came back, but it puts into question the long term durability of the floor. To be safe, I'm going to put down plywood under any heavy objects with small feet so that they do not damage the floor. The manual suggests this. I didn't knock off a star for the floor, but I'd love it even more if it had a really solid floor that I wasn't worried about damaging.

It took a weekend to put this together. I did it by my self despite what the directions said that it takes at lest 2 people. No doubt 2 more hands would have made it easier. I'm looking forward to the years of no maintenance!

This is a passable unit, it does not take much to deflect wall sections (two plastic sawhorses) and a shovel.... overall this unit will serve its purpose.

Really nice looking final product. Using for storing garden tools and other stuff. Was more difficult to assemble than expected. Required 3 people. The assembled floor "warped" or buckled when left in the sun, making the sides much harder to force into place. The doors are not quite alligned right yet. Most of the parts bags did not have the ID used in the instructions, such as ADZ, ADJ.

I like this shed a lot. It looks beautiful in my backyard. My neighbors like it too. Putting it up took more than 8 hours with 2 persons - I don't believe the 4 hours the mfg estimated setup time. The walls are a bit more flimsy than I'd like it too. If they add about 4 more of those metal supporting bars for the walls, that should take care of the flimsiness. I haven't had any big storm in the area yet since putting up the shed so I can't tell how it will hold up but for small showers, it's fine so far - no leaking.

Delivery was right on schedule. Product arrived undamaged and well packaged. Although it was supposed to be a curb side delivery, the truck driver was generously brought the 4 heavy boxes into my garage without any extra charge. That's a plus.

Just what I needed. Easy to put together. I had a cement pad. Assembled most of the pieces in my garage. Had help setting up walls. the rest I did myself. Took my time (10 hours). Easy instructions. Solid building. Have had it for a few months now and it is weather tite and withstood 10 inches of snow. Functional, Adds Beauty to Backyard, Plenty of Storage Space, Durable. We are very satisfied
