At Newport Gliders, every Glider Rocker is constructed with the finest Hard Maple and Red Oak hardwoods of New England. Besides using the best lumber, each chair has on average 120 screws or more, 30 or more pin nails, glue applied to every part and 8 high quality precision ball bearings that are rated for 30,000 rpm…now that’s gliding! But it doesn’t stop there…
The Newport Glider line is available in several finishes. Each rocker chair that goes through our finish line is dip stained and then hand wiped, given a coat of sealer, hand sanded and finally receives a coat of lacquer. During this entire process, each chair is inspected for quality. The Newport Glider line also has a wide selection of fabrics and colors from which to choose. If you don’t find a fabric that fits your needs, you can provide your own fabric and with our COM (customers own material) program, we will fabricate it to fit any glider frame in our line. Inside the fabrics you will find high quality foam that will provide comfort for years to come.
Today the company continues to invent new features, provide better comfort, and endeavors to create the most incredible experience of what all of us really need day-to-day – a good, peaceful sit. Newport Gliders continues its operations in Newport, Vermont and employs 120 craftsmen, upholsterers and customer service representatives. More recently Newport Gliders has expanded into the baby, nursery, and children's furniture industries with great success. There are several models of the glider to choose from and if customers can't quite decide on over 50 fabric choices, Newport Gliders is always coming out with new ones. What the future holds is quite simply more options for their customers.

The cushions are beautiful...Made well and comfortable...Took longer than I liked to get them but worth the wait...I was however dumbfounded when I was told I could not get the matching ottoman cushion...I called and emailed three different times even asking if I could buy the fabric...I was told no...Finally a knowledgeable Customer Service Person was able to send me to the correct place to order my ottoman cushion...I have forgotten her name and do apologize...I wish all the Customer service reps were up to speed like the lady that helped me

These cushions worked perfect with my grandmothers rocker. I did have to stitch on some material to be able to tie it to my posts. The chair is from the 80s and the snaps that came on the cushions could not be used. Other than that I am very pleased with the high quality of the cushions and fabric.

Cushions looked nice, but dont fit the chair like it should. No loops to hold it in place, which I did specifically ask about, and was told they were there. Straps with a snap were sewn on the back...for what For the price paid, it was dissappointing. Not what I was expecting, but not alot of other choices on the market.

I ordered this product to replace a 4 post glider rocker that I have even though my chair is not the same model chair as the cushions are for. I was very pleased with the quality and workmanship. And the upholstery was stunning. But I am a little disappointed in the description on the website as being very vague on how the item attaches to your chair. When I received the item there were tabs on the back that needed to be snapped to the chair. As I said above, my chair is not the same as the chair that the cushions are made for. I had to return the item because I could not attach it to my chair [...].

Replaced old cushions 12 years old. I only wish there were more pictures of the replacement cushion. For example the back of the new cushion had straps with snaps that attached to nothing, so I had to improvise by adding fabric with snaps to keep the cushion attached to the chair. The old cushions had loops that attach to the back of the chair. The new cushions have actual buttons which irritate my legs when sitting for long periods of time. The old design was much better with sewn faux buttons... more comfortable.
