I bought this as a flag light so that my flag can be light from the ground up. It is fairly close to my flag pole and it barely lights it.

I read the reviews and thought it might actually be a spotlight. But no, after a full day of summer sun, it sends out a glow for about 3 feet of light that cannot be seen in a full moon. Not worth it.
BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend
