We are proud to offer the Playtime Swing Set line as the “Ready to Assemble” offering of Creative Playthings, Ltd. Creative Playthings has been in the business of producing high quality educationally oriented children’s toys and backyard playgrounds since 1951.
It all starts with the primary lumber that goes into a wooden swing set. Playtime Swingsets are all made from southern yellow pine lumber, with the exception of one model, grown right here in the USA. The lumber is preserved with a non toxic chemical called ACQ and goes through an 8 step manufacturing and inspection process before it is packaged in our own factory in Emporia, Virginia. All of the components have been laboratory and/or field tested for strength, durability, UV color fastness and corrosion resistance.
Awesome and Affordable!
Product Review for Playtime Molded Plastic 6" Border & Border Spike
As a nanny for 15 years and a mom of my own, I had a vision of exactly what I wanted our play space to be. It came out beautiful. Super easy to install. Pegs were plenty long. good quality. I strongly recommended it!

Finishes our play area
Product Review for Playtime Molded Plastic 6" Border & Border Spike
Good product. Finishes our play area nicely and keeps the rubber mulch in well. We have ours in a straight line so needed to get an extra spike directly from Creative Playthings ($9).

Easy to use, but not very strong
Product Review for Playtime Molded Plastic 6" Border & Border Spike
The borders were very easy to install, but are not as sturdy as I would expect for the price. I definately can't step on them once installed without the fear of them cracking. In regards to the color, they are listed as brown, but they are VERY dark in color, much closer to black than brown which looks very nice but not what I was expecting. The area looks very nice now that it's complete but my biggest complaint would be the fact that I can't step on them.
