Adaptive Plastics, Inc was first introduced to corrugated polyethylene in 1986 and began manufacturing fruit harvesting totes for growers. After experimenting with corrugated plastic and seeing how well tomato plants grew under the material, Mike and Bev Perry (CEO's) got the idea to use the panels to design a greenhouse kit. University testing verified that the flutes in the plastic diffuse the light and capture it from various angles – accelerating the growth of plants. From there, with their backgrounds in biology and plant science, they set out to design an affordable, strong, and practical greenhouse for home gardeners – the Solexx Greenhouse. Product Review for Solexx PRO 5mm Polyethylene Panel
I ran out of Solexx covering for my hoophouse project and needed enough more to finish the solid end wall. I ordered three sheets[...]. The next weekend we could finish the job. Yay!I just finished the hoophouse and am very impressed that the Solexx really strengthened the structure. You can beat on it with your fist and it just bounces. It should really hold up to wind and hail. If you space your frame at 48" the 49"width is just wide enough to overlap and use tek screws to attach to the frame. One word of advice, make the frame for the outside end sections closer together and you can have a nice rain overhang on the ends, 6 inches isn't too much. Solexx is not clear and plants do not get sunburned in there. I took a spider plant that spent the winter indoors out and put it in as an experiment and it never lost any leaves from the change. The leaves adapted to the brightness within a few days and are much deeper green now. You definitely need sunglasses in there, the light bounces so there are no shadows.I am looking forward to growing some great vegies in there for most of the year.

We used this on the new roof of greenhouse and we were impressed with the ease of installation. The light diffusion is perfect in our intense Reno sun.
