I purchased this fireplace for my apt. Its very striking and does provide a nice amount of heat. However, due to the excessive cost o the gel fuel and the short life f eac can, I tend not to use this fireplace as much as I would like to.

we purchased this unit for the Holiday weekend, we had some friends by for dinner, and our place is kind of in deco-transition. everyone loved the look of it and it does give off alittle heat. It went together in less than 10 min. and it is heaver than it looks, so make sure it is where you want it before you light it, cause the glass will get kind-of hot. I only wish the gel burned longer than 2 hours. told everyone dinner that night where to find it.

We use this fireplace in a small Living Room, and it is great! The fuel has a good flame, and crackles nicely. The only odor is when the cans first burn out, but if covered right away, it is not an issue. It actually gives off some heat, and is very attractive for the price! It is a fairly substantial unit, and is very stable.

Perfect choice for my medium-sized Chicago city apartment. This is sleek, attractive, zero maintenance, easy assembly. Burns perfectly delivering the 'fireplace' ambiance with real flame and heat. Easily moved from room to room. I even soaked in the tub next to a real fire....very relaxing. perfect near the wall or floating in the middle of the room. Looks 5 times more expensive than it is. BUY IT !! you'll be happy with it.
